O2 sensor with RB header

How do I get my O2 sensor to work with my Racing Beat collected header? The wiring on the O2 sensor is to short since the O2 bung is further back on the car now with the header. Racing Beat sent me some kind of extension wire but I have no clue how it works. It doesn't plug into the O2 connector.... I called Racing Beat and it wasn't much help. I'm going to call tommorow and hope someone else can help me a little better but in the meantime maybe someone on the forum can tell me how they wired their O2 sensor with a Racing Beat header.

Thanks

its just 1 simple wire. you can cut and extend with similair gauge wire. I buy generic O2 sensors that dont come with the correct connector to hook up to factory harnes. I cut the connector off of the OE harness and soldered it to the new O2 sensor

ok I just got done extending it. I just bought a Bosh universal O2, added the extension Racing Beat sent me then cut and connected the wire off of the stock O2 sensor to the extension. I will see tommorow if it's long enough and works out.

Whats the price difference between an OEM replacement and a Universal one?

EDIT: Also, is there a resistance difference between them? or is there some sort of agreed upon single-wire o2 sensor resistance sweep?

Well the o2 sensor is only really used under 4000 RPMs, i got the bosch Universal joint, it was $19 (Freeshipping) and oem type bosh is like $35, and OEM NGK is like $53. But since i gotta splice the wires and connectors im like Universal lol

I dont stay under 4k lol

Do you really think that Universal will have that much of a difference. To be honest i think teh difference in price is because of the connector.

When you get a head of lettuce its $1.29, when you get lettuce in a bag thats already cut for you is $3.99 wtf.

So i think b/c someone sat there and added a connection they charge you and extra $10-15 lol.

IF theres a difference between signals that woudl be good to know also. If other ppl have used this before and have no issues i dont see why not.

Plus its a rotary , not like our MPG is gonna shoot up lol, i am at peace with my 12mpg lloll, if i can get 15mpg ima be happier than a pig in ****!
