Hi guys.

I've been a closet fan of the RX7's as far as I can remember. And whilst I've always been a Ford Falcon fan since I was a kid, everytime I see an FD or FC I just get chills down my spine.

I can't deny it any longer - I want an RX7. Preferably a non-turbo FC as a starter, but it will be modded down the track.

Apart from the fact that I know that FC RX7's have a 1.3L rotary engine and are a coupé, that's pretty much where my knowledge ends. I'm hoping this forum can change that ignorance for me.

So, what are the pro's, con's etc of this car. I've done my homework for insurance and am looking down the barrel of $2600 per year on comprehensive insurance. (24/m with a 60% no-claim.)

I'd like to know exactly how this user is supposed to search for the pros and cons of the car. I just did several searches for pros and cons, advantages and disadvantages, and got nothing helpful. Changing the wording around and using different terms was basically fruitless as well. These types of topics are very hard to search for.

Why u gonna pay $2600 per year for comprehensive on a car thats only worth like $1200? That dont make no sence unless u gonna total teh car more than 2x a year. Just get minimum insurance yo and put teh rest of teh money in teh bank in case u need repairs. And don't say ur gonna need comprehensive coz u gotta finance teh car either coz thats dumb too cos it would only cost u bout 5 months worth of insurance payments to buy teh car urself.
