I just took a closer look at the TID, its actually not melted, its actually cracked and the previous owner probaly tried to use some sort of sealant to fill in the crack. Can that cause bad idle???

hmm i just had this prob but i think mines going to be a little diffrent but ill still let you know what happends just in case... ok so i started up my car the other day in it idle for about 2-3 sec and i heard a clicking noise and as soon as the clicking noise went the engine stalled out... i was messing with my mass air flow sensor so i went to it and moved on of the wires in the sensor somthing you probley cant do beacuse if you havnt messed with it then there should be a black cap under it ***DONT TAKE IT OFF!*** and when i moved the wire it started running fine again... again im sure not the same problem your having but goodluck anyways rotorys are very good engine they last long and they allways have problems so im sure youll be fine... goodluck
