If you want high octane that bad go buy some race gas, it would be cheaper. All that stuff is is super high octane fuel, add it and the average octane in your tank may go a little bit. Definatly not worth it.

I remember reading a thread saying that whatever number increase they claim just put a decimal in front of it. For example +7= .7 octane increase.

7 points = 0.7 octane.

so your 91 would become 91.7

either way, that stuff is worthless and if you pay the 8 dollars or whatever it is for it, you might as well wipe your *** with the money.

Which is not as pleasant as it sounds, and a good way to get a disease.

And if you own a N/A car... the lower the octane, the more HP. This has been discussed before. Higher octane fuel DOES NOT give more HP. It has a higher flash point. The reason for example nascar uses 103+ is because they are using very high compression... i.e. they need fuel with a higher flash point. Same goes to why you put the highest possible in a TURBO car, and not a N/A

Oh, and for GOD ******* SAKES, It's not NAAWWWZZZZA (nos) It is Nitrous Oxide, or Nitrous... NOS IS A BRAND PEOPLE!!!! You CAN use Zex or something you know!!!! it's the same ****.

if you want to talk about turbos and octane, the higher isn't better, just safer. yes, safer is better, but when making power, you need heat. if you can safely run a turbo on 93 or less, do it, it should make more power. no need to run race gas just because you have a turbo (unless your car responds in tuning or you tune it for special gas ie timing, boost). otherwise, you can still waste money on high octane gas for a turbo car.

btw - love the avatar.

And for GOD FLIRKING SCHNITZ, BLOW your NOSE with a LUBRICATED FACIAL TISSUE WITH WARMING MENTHOL ACTION, not KLEENUX!!!! KLEENUX IS A BRAND PEOPLE. You can use SNUGGLES you know!! Its the same ****!

Come on. NOS has been the accepted term among the automotive racing industry for well over 30 years. Your argument against specific brand labelling is moot; who cares about semantics.

And you shouldn't use ZEX... untunable FMU's suck.

don't you dare ask for a Band-Aid brand bandage or i'll take that name brand facial tissue and show you a new use. ...actually, i usually hate when people refer to nitrous as NOS (Naws; Nawz) because they're usually quoting someone else or possibly a particular movie many of us hate to own and own to hate. but yes, it is like saying Kleenex or Band-Aid, i do agree.

you think it wasn't popular or didn't make an impact? i'm not trying to give it credit, but hell, i didn't say the name and we're on the same terms. that and i'm sure you thought it was as dumb as i did, but i also can say i've watched it numerous times. some people know better, others don't. one reason people blame movies (or similar). the idiots that watch them try or do dumb things.

It was just a movie, and pretty entertaining. Can anyone name me a realistic action flick?
It didn't spawn a generation of ricers, these guys were around long before FNF came out. While it may have influenced the use of nitrous oxide, they could have done far worse. You didn't see a single electric supercharger, did you?

And it was NOS long before the movie ever came out. How entertaining would it have been to see Brian walk into into a tuner shop and say:
"I would like to use Nitrous oxide as a form of power addition. Specifically, I would like to use NOS brand nitrous oxide, a product of Holey.
Harry, I would like to purchase some parts for the addition of a direct-port nitrous oxide system in my car. I need 2 large, filled 20 lb bottlesfitted with standard high flow manual valves, bottle brackets, two 1200 psi emergency dump valves with routing to the exterior of the car, 2 sets of 20 feet of 6AN Stainless steel hosing, one 1600 psi water filled gauge, six fogger nozzles fitted with number 25 jets on the nitrous side and number 15 jets on the fuel side, a 6 port distribution block, one Pro fogger nitrous solenoid, one pro fogger fuel solenoid, a nitrous filter, a fuel filter, several fuses, 40 feet of 14 gauge wire, some electrical crimps, two momentary push buttons, one 6AN purge valve kit, two 12V automotive relays rated at 30 amperes, and a fogger nozzle tap.
And lastly, I would like of of those products ordered in today so that I can install them and use them this evening during our illegal street race."

Is this what you guys would really have preferred? You guys just need to follow me to the local performance shop.

I really prefer...
"I need NOS... Two of the big ones. And Harry, I need them buy tonight."
