Nice setup. What do you have inline, connected to your upper rad hose?

I have had the stock S4 rad in there since i put the motor in S4 has the rad cap/filler on the engine S5 has it on the rad. I dont have any heating issues so ive just spent money elsewhere, i do plan on getting the proper S5 aluminum rad eventually lol

I would go with something better than stock if you're going to get a new rad. Do it once + do it right. There are pleanty of threads on what are good rads. Get something better than a koyo.

Yeah, but the next time he'll have a chance to run me will be next spring, at which point I'll put a set of slicks on the car, and have a clutch that won't slip when I shift quickly. If I can do 12.75 with a 2.02 60 foot time on a set of 215 street tires, low 11s with a set of proper tires and a good clutch should be trivial. Not a fair race though when I have some tire at 361 HP vs. 500 HP.

proper tires make all the differance. I guess I have to get some NOS next year hahaha

361whp was with a worn stock engine with a couple broken corner seals and 2.5" downpipe. I havent went back to the dyno yet but I should have picked up atleast 39whp with the fresh streetport and 3" downpipe.

you should go all out and get a set of Mickey thompson ET streets! thats what I wish I had

Make sure it's two of the big ones.

I'd be surprised. Not knowing your compressor specs, I can say at the boost levels I believe you are running (18 PSI?) and with the S5 hot side, that turbo was probably maxed or close to it before the porting. Right before the 400HP mark is where hybrid turbos start to fall apart due to the turbine side.

16.5-17.5. Im pretty sure its not the stock turbine wheel though. its oil cooled only. bnr dynoed 412whp with their stage4, so i should be close. there's only one way to really know. CTI is giving away 8 hours free dyno time on saturday at the drags. so hopeully I win some free dyno time

I'd be very curious if you were to disassemble the turbo this winter as to what it actually is. It sounds off hand like someone machined out the S5 turbine housing to fit a lager wheel, then simply replaced everything but the turbine housing.

Now, philosophically, can it still be called an S5 hybrid turbo if this is the case?

meh, if it uses the stock turbine housing, stock exhaust manifold, and especially a [modified] stock wastegate I'd call it a bolt-on turbo hybrid still.

Btw, look at all the cars you have beaten here from this Motor Trend 11-way drag race. You would be 3rd after the R35 GT-R and 458 Italia
