Is this normal?
Hello all
I have an 88 ' GXL and I went for a drive this morning for fun with the stereo turned off and I noticed that when I shift from first, second and third gear I get this sound that sounds like 'shwooo!!'. Now I know my car is not turbo charged and im aware that turbo charged cars have a blow off valve that makes this noise. I have no complaint's because it sound really kewl, but whats causing it? only thing I can think of is the new K&N cone filter I put in. Thanks for your input---Ren

I had a first gen that did the same thing. I think it's the syncros in the trans that make the swoosh. I have no idea why some trans make the noise.
