Gone from full on roding to slower then a NA in on time

I just got my exhaust on my 87 turbo II and I was out showing a friend my car . it was running great at 9.5 lbs. I down shifted into second gear and WOT went great for about 3 seconds that a whoosh sound from under the hood and the car stalled. it sounded like a giant presser release. We pulled it in to the parking lot and turned the motor not even a fire. Tried the quick defould the car a few times and I got it to run with my foot on the gas about ¼. Sounds like clinking on the turbo side of the motor. Checked the turbo for play in the shaft but not very much but the wheels have a lot of black stuff oil or something. Have not checked for compression yet because I don’t want the worst to be any one have any other suggestion ??????

help
Kevin

Yup-You seem to know the drill....Compression test.
That will be a starting point. Better find the problem sooner than later. You can pull the plugs and check if seal gone.
Good Luck

You may have blown off an intercooler coupler.

that happened to me one night...but it was the air hose between the upper intake manifold and the firewall that had come off and cause the car to die, put it back on and it started right up.

The first time your IC piping comes off can be a scary experience.

Compression test it. Also, just because its not an IC line, doesent mean its not another vac line. I once had a vac line blow off the spider on the back of the motor. So, just to get it out of the way, compression test it.

Its not moving at all? Was it moving on the front rotor? If its not moving at all, youve got 3 blown seals. Dont feel bad, same thing happened to me.

Air is still being forced in and out of the holes so I took the tester back and got a new one and they checked out ok i got like mid to low 90s

I started the car up after I checked the compression and it started fine idled not very well and it was blowing blue smoke out of the back so I though it was the turbo so I’m taking it off the car but I cant get the last nut off the flange the one near the oil return line I cant get a wrench on the nut how the **** do you get the dam thing off????
