Nooooo Turbo help please

I installed a manual boost controller today with no probs. set it to around 7 psi before hand using a air pump to test. so I start driving slowly to test it out. 7-8psi. but then I give it some gas again and hit 15!! but there wasn't any load on the engine so it's still fine. so I take a look under the hood. the metal niple on the top of the turbo that holds the vac. line to the wastegate came out of the turbo!! SH*T. I stuck it back in and drove around for 5 mins and it poped out again. so now it doesn't idle very well and boosts unlimited PSI...

Is the turbo going to have to come off to fix this? how can I fix it? The car isn't really drivable untill I do.

This is the only thing that I can think of that will keep it in... knurl the surface of the tube if you can. this raises the surface and it should be kindof stiff going back in. You'll probably want to use some permanent loctite on it.

I don't really know any other way besides taking the turbo off, and tapping the hole with some pipethreads so that you could screw a nipple in, in its place.

I doubt any sealant that you could put on it will hold it in by itself.

yeah I don't think any sealent will hold it cause it's too hot there. it's already got a bit of a lip and it's kinda hard to get back it. it looks like it's only held in by a lip from the fatory.

dam... O well, I need to port it anyways just don't want to spend the money right now to take it off.

the only other thing I can think of would be to tack weld it back to the turbo. cuase once it's in there is no leak, it idles fine, but you can pull it back out with a bit of effert.

going to try some JB weld tomorrow. hopefully that will work, I guess 5psi wasn't enough to push it out but 8 was.

stock lines, stock airbox. I can see it and barely get my hand down there to get it in and out.
