aight so there is a guage connected to this cylinder right near the latch for my hood right i have no idea what this cylinder thing is but its leakin somethign anyone know waht im talkin about?

 

You mean the sensor on top of the radiator? It's the coolant level sensor. If it's leaking try adding some tefflon tape of something.

I'll see if I can get a pic.

 

The coolant level sensor is in the blue circle. Is it the one you were talking about?

iono lol the guy i bought the car from didnt know what it was. its a psi gauge and on the side of the cylinder if you see it it says regulator......

 

Does it have hoses coming out of it? What do they go to?

ill see i gotta put the car up on jack stands to see where the lines go but what does an oil accumulator do ?

 

I have never seen one on a street car before but on that accusump link it says

i think that is it but its friken leaking droplets so iono if i can just take it out or do i have to get a new one

 

gotta see how they hooked it up, is it something that goes in the rount of the cooler lines, or did they do something with the filter to hook it up, just depends, you can always go back to stock, i'm sure someone would be selling oil cooler lines somewhere on this forum...

edit: considering the location i would guess it was tapped in at oil cooler

 

yeah its tapped into my oil cooler i had to get a tune up so they guy told me is was an oil pressure regulator and that it would be easy to bring it back to stock so taht it wont leak anymore

 

its not a regulator, its for cold startup so the motor can be primed with oil. it also serves as a small backup oil supply if your pressure drops. for example on the track on a high g turn the oil pickup might get uncovered and cause and oil starvation but this will help prevent that. check out their website.

 

what pressure should the car be at during a cold start up do you know ?
