No Water Line - Bad?

Is it possible to run a stock turbo on the FC S4, with no water line to the turbo? Isn't it bad for the turbo?

When I purchased the car, the water line wasnt on the turbo, I am just wondering why would this be done? The location where the water would normally come out was sealed off. For my curiosity, What is the reason for this? Thanks

it helps to cool the bearings insode of the turbo. i would say that its pretty vital for the turbo's existance as it was designed to be an oil over water cooled turbo.

I have no clue why anyone would remove it. You can run without the lines (many aftermarket turbos are oil cooled) but the turbo will generally run hotter and will wear out quicker.

Be gentle untill you can get it fixed. Think how fast a turbocharge spins. Thats alot of heat to remove, not to mention being in the exhaust flow.
