No Thermowax Idle

OK i have been trying to figure out why my car wont idle when cold, and i think its because i have no more thermowax and a ported TB. Is there a way to get mky cold idle back? right now I gotta sit in it and rev it for a bit so it gets warm enough to idle. BTW TPS and Idle set sscrew have been adjusted, and TPS is good

Amazing bit of deduction.

Reinstall the thermowax. That's what it's for.

I guess you could also install some kind of "choke system" that pulls on the throttle plates shaft, which you could control from inside ... but that's 1 more cable to deal with.

Better to use the thermowas thingy though.

****, even with no thermowax/etc, my car would idle in -30 degree weather (would crank over like it was filled with syrup, but it still idled!) 800rpm. Of course, this was a s4 and I've NEVER had an issue with a s4 not idling. S5's on the other hand, I can never get them to idle properly.
