Msd spitfire 8mm wires.

Simple as this; can't get a spark signal from my light unless the plug wire is disconnected. Really annoying Cause I'm at the point of timing and tuning for my project.

Help me jesus

Edit: light works fine on my s10 with cheap wires.

Also worked on the rx7 when the plug side of the wire was disconnected

Your answer is in your question...sort of.
Tune the car with the Some cheap wires then toss your MSD's back on.

The Msd's may have a good covering preventing the timing light from reading the spark.
If you move the clamp on the timing gun to another area you may get it to read.
I know the induction style guns are finicky, you gotta get them "just right" to read.
Read it as close to the plug as possible.

Theres a reason why MSD is referred to as 'My Spark Disappeared'. In my opinion virtually all of their products are garbage.

Figured it out. Low voltage from the battery.

Didn't have my alternator hooked up.

Who woulda thunk it
