no spark then spark, no spark then spark

no spark then spark, no spark then spark

i drove to my fams house and it ran great then. got out came back 20 min later and car wouldnt start. no spark in trailing or leading. came back next day and it started. the drive to fams house was less than 2 mins maybe 7 blocks.what controls spark in both coils. or any ideas would help please!

how would it be my crank angle sensor.... doesnt it just control my timing.

The grounds for the leading and trailing coils are their contact to the frame. Try taking the coils off and making sure the contacts are good metal to metal. After that, are the plugs good (how old?) Likewise, the plug wires. Are the plug wire connections solid at both ends?

i just remembered something my rpm gauge on my cluster stop working the first night it did it. no spark from coils, not plug or plug wires. all fuses are checked

If Chuck's suggestions are still not fixing it, I'd say try checking the coil packs.

You said that your rpm gauge didn't work do you mean when it wouldn't fire that the rpm gauge would just stay still?
