ok so yesterday my car was working fine, then today i go to start her up and she starts up but then cuts off after 3 seconds or so. SO i try and start her back up and she dosen't start. Im not getting any spark. Im getting the 12v to the igniter. All of my fuses are fine, i have a strong battery, i have brank new spark plugs, my plug wires are fine. The only thing i can think of is something is keeping them from firing like the cpu. Strang thing is that everything else is working fine. so if it was my cpu why would only the spark no be working. Anyone having any ideas on why im not getting any spark??

 

Both coils are not firing? Mine did this also w/ only one coil. I had 12 to the ignitor but I replaced the ignitor anyway. Thats what it was.

 

unplug your airflow meter and try again. this is the exact same thing that happened to me.

if the afm is broken it will **** with the spark. unplug it and is it fires up, then thats your problem.

 

wow, i can't believe something a little as the dam afm will keep you car from getting spark. Anyways thx for the info, i took apart the afm and fix them problem. Finally i have her back

 

yeah tell me about it. seems that a buncha people are having these problems, but when everything checksout ok, your let to scratch your head. then i rememberd that in a dsm if your afm is fucked then the car wont start. so i was like.. hm... so i poped the afm off and took it out, cranked, and she fired right up. 1 momnth of head scratching down the drain.


a local place nmear me sells them for 100 smackers.
