no spark
ive been having troubles getting my car to spark. im getting power to the coil packs and im using coil packs that should work, i dont have a good oms meter to test but will soon. so i checked a couple of wires that run from the ecu to the coil packs. so the L/G wire from the ecu pin 1V should be below 2.0 volts and when i checked i was getting about 9 volts. what does this mean? bad ecu? something wrong with the wiring? could this mess up the coil packs making them bad?

Your looking at the wrong manual/FSM/???? See jpg attached. Yeah, nine volts is screwy bad. Disconnect the harness plugs from the Lead coil and then go back and read 1V once more and see if it still reads 9 vdc.
You read the plugs by looking into the WIRE side of the plug. So one V is to the left of the plug as you look into the WIRE side of the plug.
I added the jpgs just because I wanted to. No other reason.

im using a 91 rx7 wiring diagram book from mazda and it does look different from yours, maybe yours is a s4? idk. my book shows 1V is Ignition coil ( trailing). ignition switch on - below 2.0, idle - approx. 1.4. and im testing the wires that plug into the coil packs and not from the ecu pin itself. ill check the afm.
