No Spark

My rx7 convertible 13b was running and then died. It's getting fuel but has no spark. I checked the crank shaft sensor and it's in the 163 range on ohms. I swapped out coils both trailing and leading. Swaped out computers with one i know is good and still nothing. Checked the basics like fuses and grounds and thats when i started to get spark. I took a jumper cable and put it on the negative side of the battery and hooked it to the alternator bracket and it fired twice and didn't fire again. I started checking grounds and found the ground under the intake and cleaned it and then tried to start it again. It fired twice and smoked out the exhaust then stopped again and would'nt fire. Does anybody have any ideas?

maybe a broken or loose plug/wire coming from or inside of the CAS? would that cause inconsistent spark?

how are you testing for spark?

do you have power going to the coil packs?

I think the pink wire is the + wire....test all wires going to the coil packs for power. post the results
