No Spark
No spark, huh? I assume you are talking about the leading coil (towards the front of the car, wires going to lower spark plugs on the engine). First check I'd do is power. Look for the ignition fuse by the battery - it is the only 40A fuse among these. If it is ok, check the black/yellow wire on the ignitor plug. It should be 12V with the ignition on. If it isn't, you have either a main relay or ignition switch problem. Then, check the spark plug wires. First, meter them (both should read <20Kohms). If they meter ok, check them in the darkest environment possible. If you see sparks all over the place on the wires while cranking, they are leaking badly and need to be replaced.
OK, spark plug wires are ok. Snap the plastic cover off of the coil (behind the spark plug towers on top). Meter the 2 terminals uncovered. Resistance should be .2 to 1 ohm. Now meter across the towers. Reading should be < 1Mohm.
Coil may be ok. Unplug crank angle sensor. The 4-plug terminal will have 2 pairs of connectors on each side of a divider. Meter each pair. Spec is 110-210 ohms.
If all checks are ok, swap out ignitor assembly (under the coil). If no help, swap out the coil. If no help, I am stumped!
