No power below 2500ish rpm...?

So as you guys know, I did a 5spd swap, got everything working great. Removed emissions, ps, ac, air pump, ect.

I have the aux ports and VDI working via e-air pump activated at 3800 rpms@1/2 throttle., VDI opens at 5800. (both ECU opperate via original emission solenoids).

I can visibily confirm that both 6 ports, and the VDI actuators are working/opening when they should and closing when they should.

I went on a 1100 mile roadtrip this last weekend, and upon coming back into town I noticed the car didn't have (seemingly) as much lowend torque. I figured that the 6ports had somehow stuck open, so I didn't worry it much.

I checked today the 6ports and confirmed the system was working. It was fine, opening closing like usual. The car had a tad bit lower idle (right around 600, instead of the decent 800-900) when its warm.

EDIT: (Also, last night I was driving to class and I literaly had it feather the clutch below 2500 just to keep it from dieing in 1st. But when I let the clutch out for a stop, the rpms idle pick up rigt at 600 and bring it back up to 800. Just feels like its lacking power...)

I took it for a drive and it feels like its bogging until it gets to around 2500--2700, and then it takes off like normal power. Although I was able to visibly check the 6ports are opening, it seems to not pull in the upper rpms as fast as it did before the trip.

Any ideas guys?

Timing and TPS are set correctly 1200 miles ago.

could have a stuck / chipped seal in the motor. I had a motor do that on me, ended up being a broken corner piece on an apex seal. I had to floor it and slip the clutch below about 2500-3000rpm to get it going, then once it hit 3000rpm it took off like a bat outta hell.

Depends on if something chunks off and ruins your engine. Maybe it is not that problem though so keep looking for other things that may have changed. Can you do a compression test? That will help diagnose some things. Do you have cats? Maybe they got plugged up a little on the long trip?

Negative on the cats, emissions gone. I have a compression tester, just no one extra around at the moment to crank the engine

Yeah.. sparkplugs are about three weeks old (~2400miles). Plug wires are from last spring (~3500 miles). Oil smells fresh (suprising huh?) and is full. Gas filter(inline) was replaced along with the plug wires last spring. Not sure what else... all that stuff should be fine?

Adjust TPS, check for vac leaks, new grounds, clean injectors, coolant flush, etc?

heh ok, Timing and tps were set before the 1200 miles this last weekend.

Already checked vac leaks (I did find the one port on the intake elbow thing was pulled out, but still connecting and sealing... pushed it back together).

I've got some massive grounds, but nothing that does directly to one component (directly to eco, pressure sensor, ect).

I refuse to take manifolds off after I finaly fixed all the vac leaks :P

And coolant was flushed before the 1200 miles
