no power
Its an 87n/a...i have changed the plugs and wires..gutted out the cad-converters(no more stoppage there) checked the tps and it was good. new fuel filter, and checked for vacume leaks and found notta. After all this i am still not getting total power. It revs all the way out, even under load with no hesitations. But it takes me forever to get up speed. Yugo's can out perform me at this point...
It idles rough and at only 500rpm after warm-up....unreal !!!!!!!!!!
I haven't got enough hair left on my head to keep pulling on it...whats my next step? this car is f-ing me and not even getting a kiss out of it.

prob will find out whats goin on when you check the compression. But I would never rule out the clutch just cause its a year old. Yes, it should still be working properly and prob still is, but you never know.

okie dokie....found out the compression is real good, and the clutch is up to par....found out that the lack of power was caused from a rookie mistake (crossed plug wires)...i know I KNOW...just put the gun to my head now....gees these shade tree machanics..but, now i have a problem with no idle...i am trying to adjust the throttle control sensor with the 2 light method and i get both lights on, but when i adjust it all the way counterclock wise they still stay on. can someone coach me on this...I warm up the engine, disconnect the sensor and then plug in the lights (in the green plug)...boom, they both are on. So then i carefully adjust the screw without moving anything. I go the way and the lights continue to stay on..i go all the way clockwise and get the same results...???????????? i am turning the screw at snell pace, afraid that a hair turn can make all the difference...thanks
