No pilot bearring?

How bad is it to drive without a pilot barring, there are none in the province. And will take a week to get here, I would like to get it driving. How bad would it be to drive her without a pilot bearing during break in?

Ive accually been without one for as long as i can remember, no serious affects. There is a reputable engine builder on here that told me it was OK not to have one. I cant tell any difference or chattering ect.

Very bad. Any imbalance (perfect balance is impossible) in the clutch disk will result in large amounts of force being put on the end of the input shaft (A rotational moment will occur to the end of the input shaft). This can cause input shaft bending, at the very latest.

We are talking about 7 days and a $8 part. Why risk damage to your car?
