No idle when cold please help

I was wondering if any one could tell me why my '87 TII will not idle when it is cold. For the first 2 min. I have to hold the gas then it will start to idle on its own.I have ran all the test I could find on the net.I would really love to put my new fc on the road. Please help. O and it runs little rich if that makes a difference.(You can smell it)

I tested the AFM and it gets bad resistance when the flap is open.It said to test all the prongs 2 at a time and they all checked out but the fuel pump switch. It should be 0 ohms when open and it is 4 ohms is that bad?

well, you just answered your own question..you say it should be 0 but its 4 right? fuel pump switch? is there an on and off switch for your fuel pump? that kinda confused me. replace the afm with a working one. what about the other things? did you check those? how did those look?

The BACV is suppose to bring the engine up to about 2500rpm on all starts and then the thermowax on the back of the throttle body does the rest.

If you car runs, its not the fuel pump or switch.

Check out the thermowax, I 100% bet thats your problem. Check it out in the Factory service manual here. Look under "Throttle Body".
