Official ACTUAL 2nd Gen Weight Thread

I'd like to see if this thread can gain any steam as a resource.

The idea here is to get ACTUAL weights of different cars and trims. Not just what is in the archived FAQ material from mazda 20 years ago....

PLEASE only post if you WITNESSED YOUR CAR BEING WEIGHED!!! What the "previous owner told you" or what you "read on the internet" or "on the door jamb sticker" dosnt count. People want ACTUAL info from a scale:

Copy the following and fill it in.

Year (1986-1991):
Trim (Base, SE, GXL, GTU, GTUs, TII, Turbo, 10thAN, Vert, etc):
WEIGHT (no cargo or passengers):
Scale (brand, type, location, etc):
List any significant weight reductions (10lbs or MORE per line item = significant):
List any other significant weight changing mods (engine swap, roll cage, etc):
Fuel Load at time of weighing:

I don't know if this helps/matters to this thread but Mazda came up with the weight distribution WITH all fluids and 2 people in the car. So It makes sense to me to do the same when finding the weight of the car. What's the point of weighing 2800 lbs when after it's loaded with fluids and people it will weigh 3100 lbs?

Just a little bit of unwanted input.

Because these people are driving them to have them weighed obviously. If you're adding fluids after you drive it then something is wrong. And as far as having 2 people in the car doesn't really make a difference. Most people have it corner weighted and balanced with the drivers weight only because thats usually the only people in the car if they're getting down(autocross, track).

Maybe you just didn't think about that before you posted it. Mazda's ways of finding weight distribution have nothing to do with weighing your car after you've done things to it, IE weight reduction, FMIC, Single exhaust, **** like that.

Year: 1991
Trim: Base (has sunroof, no rear wiper, no cruise, no AC)
WEIGHT: 2850lbs (with some assorted crap like CD's and with the spare, jack, etc still in)
Scale: Longacre corner weighing scales (don't know which model)
List weight changing mods: Removed PS, aftermarket stereo (just head unit and 2 speakers), RB exhaust (still heavy, but less so than stock), Autopower "Race" roll bar, Mustang GT wheels with RE-070's (~47lbs), extra bracing, RB sways, alarm, aluminum rad (holds more heavy water)
Fuel Load at time of weighing: about half a tank
Weight distrobution: ~49/51

Yes she's a heavy bitch, but she's going on a diet next year.
