Silly question, but did you install the correct thermostat in the correct orientation? Sounds like it's stuck open, and not allowing the car to warm up to operating temps.

Do some searches on the forum about how the "Logicon" works to control the "air mix motor". It's going to either be the logicon circuit board, the motor internals, your heater core is plugged, or cold engine temp. I already posted in your other thread that your engine temp seems normal from the gauge reading.

I second this. Richterx12 (I think) had a nice writeup on how to test the "air mix motor" with a 9v battery.

Also if you can try and get another Logicon from the junkyard and replace the old one. If your good working with electronics the logicon can be repaired. There is a writeup here somewhere!

Use the mazda thermostat available from the dealer or mazdatrix. You can check the reading from the thermoswitch to see if you are getting up to temp or an infrared thermometer on the water pump housing works. It's easier to check those first cause the air mix motor and logicon aren't that easy to get to.

This is your problem, lack of heat is merely a symptom.
If the car won't warm up, the heater won't work...pretty simple.

Either you installed a bad thermostat or you installed a good one improperly.

Or a good one properly with a big fat air bubble somewhere laughing at you.

Did the thermostat have a tiny breather hole in it with a chunk of wire like steel stuck through it pinched on each end?

You told us what the guage says, what happens when you grab the bottom rad hose vs the top rad hose after a 20 min idle?

The whole logician thing is a red hearring till your sure that you stat is happy.

When in doubt, moms/wifes/gf's favorate kettle, tongs and some hot water and some cold water, that will tell you if the stat is doing its thing.
