Unhappy No Headlights.

About 2 weeks ago my right headlight went out, and then yesterday my left one went out. I am totally clueless about what could have caused this, where should I check first?
Also I wanted to check the fuse, but lucky for me the fuse box cover is not there. Anyone know which one is for the headlights?

Does anyone think it could be the switch? The parking lights come on and the interior lights, but not the taillights or headlights. They flip up but dont come on.

If one went out and then the other, you have burnt out bulbs.

If it was the switch, they would not raise, and both would be out at the same time.

One went out and the other went out 2 or three weeks later. The headlights are plugged in.

bad bulbs then would be the first thing I would check.

Do you have a digital multi meter that you can check the bulbs with???

not always but if you take apart the sealed housings you should check for the filament to be in tact. you could also rig a bootleg test light but make sure to use some resistors to keep the bulbs from burning out if they ARE good.

stock bulbs would require the replacement of the entire lens/bulb assembly.

The bulbs are out and through the lens they do not look burned out. If it were the bulbs, would the headlight icon still come on?

If new bulbs did not fix the problem, then one did not stop working before the other.

Do you have access to multi meter?

And only take the car to the dealer if you have more money than sense

Ehh can anyone offer me some advice on the best way to diagnose this problem? I have a week of nightshifts coming up, and I really need to get this fixed.

Unhappy

I checked the relays today, and I found that one of the wires has been connected to something, I think that is at the Dimmer relay I am not sure, and the wires on the other relay are melted, I assumed it was the Headlight Relay but I am not sure. Can anyone tell me which relay is which, if I should detach that connection (It was probably connected to the old alarm that is no longer in the car), and how I can repair those wires. Sorry the pictures are so blurred, I need a new camera.

Fixed the headlights!! Checked the grounds, bulbs, fuses, and put a bandaid on those wires. I will fix them permanently on Friday.

No I was mistaken, they were not burned they were cut. There is a fan near the relays (oil cooler fan I think) and the wires got a little too close.
