no compression

I have an 88 rx7 Conv. K&N intake, Racing beat exhaust manifold back had rainy cold weather let it set for a couple of weeks, tried to start it solnoid would click, charged battery still just ckicking, checked battery, full charge, engine seemed to be locked up, put it in gear and rocked it tried again to start still just clicked, the last time i tried i heard a metalic clank and the engine started turning over, it now spins free with no compression at all will not fire just spins free. Does any one know what in the hell is going on?

I think your engine has gone bye-bye.

How do you know it has no compression? Have you actually checked it or are you guessing? From your description it sounds as though you have no compression on either rotor. This is very unusual. Take a plug out of each rotor if you haven't already done so and check for compression. Odds are one rotor (probably the rear) will have zero compression.

It also sounds like your engine was locked up and probably broke an apex seal or two when it finally freed up. If this is what happened and the engine wasn't running when the apex seal gave way you might get lucky enough to have no damage to the rotor housing. Usually if the engine is running when an apex seal takes a **** the rotor and rotor housing are trashed.
