No brake pressure

I left the car out in the cold for a few days of heavy snow. Once it melted, I decided to drive the 89 rx7 tII. The brakes were a little stuck like they usually are when I leave the car out for a period of time, in the cold or otherwise. So... I applied a little reverse throttle and freed it up. This time, however, I lost pressure in my brakes until I press it down about half way. I'm assuming something with the cold caused some sort of... hydraulic system to fail? I'm not too acclimated with any sort of mechanical system.

Wondering whats wrong; is this an easy fix, something I'm going to have to bother a mechanic with and pay for expensive parts perhaps?

Thanks.

The brake fluid reservoir is full up to the 'line'. I'll see what I can do personally about bleeding the brakes - thank you.

When you do gain brake pressure is the pedal firm and feel normal? You could be dealing with a frozen caliper or a frozen brake caliper guide pin. I would suggest lubing the pins with some caliper grease if you have a chance. This should be a regular maintains in a icy and wet area. The signs of a frozen caliper could be very uneven brake pad wear or you can see a gap between the brake caliper and the pads. Good luck!
