CA No boost, stumped (searched)

Hi there, I'm having a problem with my 87 TII. Under partial throttle it goes okay, but under WOT it hesitates and goes up to zero, then falls back into vacuum slowly. I've checked my AFM and TPS with a multi meter, the only thing i found was that the TPS was at 1.9k ohms and I put that back to 1k ohms. It idles around 1500rpm pretty steady. I checked my compression and had about 90psi on all three faces on both rotors. I also checked the clip on the wastegate to make sure it was on. There were no vacuum leaks i could find, the only other thing that I was thinking it could be was a boost leak, but I don't hear anything while driving or free revving. I don't have a way to compress the system to check it that way. Any other advice or relevant thread links would be great.

are you using the stock boost gauge? can you hear the turbo spool? have you insured that all of the IC connections are nice and tight? is the line on the waste gate actually hooked up, does the waste gate also work right? and is not stuck open?

I have boost gauge under my stereo. I'll have to take the intake off and check for shaft play tomorrow. All the IC couplers are nice and tight. I checked the arm on the wastegate and i can move it and it goes back to where it was. As for the line on the wastegate, i can check that tomorrow too. Thank you for the reply.

it's off of a t from the manifold to the pressure sensor on the shock tower. also, watching the boost gauge, it went from being very smooth to very jerky when moving. btw it's a manual boost gauge.

Well my car teased me yesterday and actually started boosting. After posting this thread I came to the conclusion of my turbo being seized since I couldn't move the turbine freely. After almost seven months it started to boost fine and held fine at 5psi, then today I'm back to square one with no boost. I don't know if my turbo is bad after all so I'm going to take my turbo off and check for anything that might be jammed once I have enough free time. Does anyone else have any ideas what this could be? It still runs perfectly fine in vacuum. One of my friends thought it might be sludge build up in the turbo, does that sound relevant? I was also going to try to borrow an afm and tps to see if that makes the problem go away.

If you can't turn the compressor easily by hand, the turbo needs to be replaced or rebuilt.

That's what I was planning on doing, but since it did what it did, I thought it might be something else.
