Newb Shifting ?s
this is a dumb a question i think and its gonna make me look like a moron but here goes... is it ok to be shifting at 6k+ rmps habitually? 1st thru 4th at least? i dont do it all the time but id say i got my foot in it 75% of the time. ive only had this car running good for a few days, i dont wanna tear it up already. i heard rx7s are higher reving cars so i assumed they can take alot "fun" driving.

your car is going to die.
Give it to me.
Do you really need to drop the clutch every gear?
do you feel like speed racer?
ummm, I'm confused as to why you would drive like that, much less ask about it.

Yes - of course - It's a sports car!
Keep in mind it's a >16 year old car. Rev it up whenever you feel like it, but don't rush the changes too much. Those old syncros have a lot of miles on them.
BTW: These trannys love synthetic gear oil.

If the engine is in good shape it will be fine....
But of course, I can't imagine there is anywhere on the street that you can legally drive at speeds to redline anything but 1st or 2nd.

in my old s4 ported modd'd up the *** n/a I was able to hit about 70 in second I beleive. That was shifting at a dyno roved 8500rpm .. oh what fun that was. God I love the high revs but i've sense gotten a t2, and having alot more power alot sooner is pretty sweet as well . .haha

Maybe I'll bring my PP 1st gen (no mufflers and side pipes...it redefines the word "loud") and rip a few runs up and down your street to see how you like it..
