Ok I'm new to the Rx-7 and the rotary in general and I've had a question thats been bugging me for a while now and I did a search but couldn't find a clear answer:

What is the curb weight for the FC?
The Wiki tells me its 3582 lbs but I keep seeing guys post with a 2700 lb stock car and I am wondering what the actual weight is.

Again sorry if I seem ignorant (its because I am) and please don't flame, just trying to learn...

im gettin 2900 at the scales near my house with a bunch of crap in the back, scales old though it might be off

 

These are my quick estimations based on my memory of various websites. I do not garantee accuracy.

infini : 2700
GTU : 2800
Turbo, GXL : ~ 2900
Vert : ~ 3200

the lightest fc was 86 base at 2550.

 

Wasn't it the S4 GTU?

 

it all really depends on the package.....i think the s4 base was about 2300....my 87lx is like around 2400, of course ill just look tomorow.....

The wiki is wrong. Look at the FAQ section.

 

Believe it or not, my GXL has a sticker in the door frame that states the vehicle weight at 3,635 Lbs.

 

^that is how much weight the vehicle can safely handle, if I am not mistaken.

 

It's in the FAQ. Varies between 2626 and about 2900 lbs. depending on the year, accessories, soft top or hard, etc.

 

Thank God !!! My seat belt has been closed in the door a few times and the left side of the sticker has some rips in it.
