Thumbs up NEW Tuneable Mufflers!!! YEAH!

Well after drooling over Kevin Landers' newly restored T2 I couldn't see myself using any other style muffler other then the ones that he has.. Unfortunaltely they no longer produce that system.. Also I am building this car on a budget and his is by no means a cheap system.. But regardless the hunt was on for a set of affordable mufflers in that style. Thanks to Ebay I found a set. They are OBX ( I have used OBX before with no issues.) I just got them yesterday in the mail and I have to say they look great.

9 inch total diameter
19 inches long
2.5 inlet
4.5 inch tip with silencer (tunable)

My car currently has a very loud unknown system on it and it must be replaced, I needed something that would quiet it down with the ability to adjust the levels for daily driving and racing purposes..

They will be installed next week and I will post up clips.

Anyways $123 shipped to my door and $40 to install.

Rotary Performance (www.rx7.com) has the GReddy Power Extreme (Kevin's version) for sale again.

A little late since you already purchased mufflers.

WOW!

Now back in stock, the famous GReddy Power Extreme catback exhaust. Long known as the “King Kong” of FC exhaust system. The quality is obvious, high polished stainless silencers, straight though design, deep sporty note, what’s not to like? These are probably the last ones we’ll be able to bring in. Priced with an incentive. Get a system while they last.

GReddy Power Extreme Exhaust - 86-91
Price: $898.98 $798.98

I need to sell a kidney... Anyone have a sick uncle?

If it's worth anything to you, I've seen this exhaust in person (not Kevin's) and used it in the past. It sounds good but other that that I can't stand it, IMHO.

It looks okay as a single, I personally find the duals to be a bit heavy looking. They really dominate the rear. I say the same thing about dual N1 style exhausts.

Exactly. The mufflers a giant (hence the King Kong description) and really make the rear and side view of the car look to bulky for my taste. The proportion just doesn't sit well with me. Certainly to each his own. It seems that those that like that exhaust absolutely love it.

I actually have a passengers side GReddy PE can if you are interested. Again, a little too late.

There is no GReddy PE single in that style. The PE single is like the Apex'i N1. It's the PE II.

Which PE? The one pictured or the PE II?

The same muffler as what, the GReddy system? That's nothing I'm familiar with, maybe Borla?
