an impact gun should still fit if you remove the shroud from the radiator.

a little bit trickier yet is put the breaker bar on the bolt and rotate the engine until the bar is pressed firmly against the driver frame rail of the car and crank it over. you can also try applying some heat to the bolt, but i would probably try to avoid a cutting torch.. the starter method is also not one of the most wise but it has worked for me. if you have the car in gear, make sure it is in 4th gear, then you can really lean into it and not break the tranny or worry about the car moving(4th gear is a direct drive 1:1 ratio straight through).

IS there a way to make sure you will have OIL press before installing the engine?
Maybe hook the tranny up with starter on the ground? prime it on the ground?

Nothing's a guarantee, but putting your **** together RIGHT with known working parts is pretty much the best way. Getting it right is the difficult part, especially when it's only your first/second/third time.

Yeah, build everything right
But seriously, double/triple/quadruple check your work. If it's right, it'll work right.

That sounds like a bad idea... Why not install it in your engine bay and crank it?

Nah, i kid and that was mean. When you BUILD an engine and i mean rotors, eshaft, seals, irons, housings, tension bolts, oil pump chain and cogs....all that **** assembled, the oil pump is going to be dry meaning you JUST built it and it has not yet started to suck oil from the sump to pump around the entire system.

That's a dry pump.

I take it thats NOT your engine in your avatar then?

i figured it was something along those lines. sometimes someone bothers you at the wrong time and you forget to tighten something down. just ask people how much of a dick i can be while i am working, because i hate wasting time redoing things.

Lucky you it wasn't something internal...... Rather time consuming to put everything back together again.

It's easy to get excited and miss stuff like that and take what i said with a grain of salt. People give me a hard time and i just take it as "whatever".

I DEFINITELY do not know everything so sorry if i came off that way.

lol JR I wasnt even talking about your car. I was talking about Jesus' car. His dumb mistake was that it wasnt low oil pressure at all, he broke the pressure gauge on his cluster. Guess he didnt plug something in right and it spiked and broke the gauge. D'oh
