The new exhaust.....has anyone ever heard of Goerlichs?

Okay okay, I got sick of the straight through Magnaflow I had and thought it was just too loud no matter how well it flowed. So out to the exhaust shop again, but this time with a twist. The dude actually did a smashing job on the new Y-pipe and tails and mounts. I drove the car in there with a coat hanger holding the old pipe on and this guy put all new OEM mounts and everthing on with all aluminized pipes and painted the welds and everything for 170 bucks. Trust me when I say it folks, this set up is nice! 2.5" single out of the collector to the Y, then after the Y it goes to 2" and then goes into these wierd canister mufflers that have a 2.25" core. I looked down in them and from what I could see, it was just bends like a Walker dynomax and there were no hooks or loovers to catch anything. So my question is what are these mufflers? A quick search nets a company called "Goerlichs". The mufflers are called "Enforcer II". Has anyone used these mufflers? Let me answer my own question...NO AND WHY DIDN'T YOU BUY A RACINGBEAT!!!!?????!! Well cause I aint spending 500 bucks on stainless stuff that I don't need. I have felt a little loss in throttle response but the car still seems quite fast. Last G-tech run, which may or may not be full of ****, was a 15.07@103.7 on a slight decline, with NO launch and a passenger with me.

P.S. The car is a little quieter but still very loud on WOT and at idle from behind the car. Must be why everyone uses that presilencer thingy. Oh and if anyone around Cookeville wants the name of this OUTSTANDING muffler shop, just ask. The dude had a couple of just rightous '69 Z28s sitting outside of his shop and a junior dragster inside.

103, is an extremely high trap time for a 15.07 1/4 time. 103 is like 13.8ish. SS doesn't rust, thats a plus. But good job on finding something that looks good and wasn't too expensive.

GTech normally reads 3mph higher in the traps versus a real 1/4-mile run, so it's more like 15.0 @ 100.

Since the original poster claimed a slight decline, that might be about right.

100mph traps are usually around the 14.0 ET range for an FC.

It really doesn't matter, I've never had rust to be a problem in Tennessee even with Mild Steel. Now about that topic.......The mufflers.....yeah.......

okay so I can't believe those crazy G-Tech numbers, even if I did not launch the car, I still can't believe I would break 100mph in the 1/4. Thats just sick, I'm going to the track. I just wonder what is causing me to lose so much mid-range. perhaps he put in 2.25" rear pipes instead of 2.00. I'll have to look more closely.
