Well I went a picked this out of a friends FC today. Factory Mazda Reman with ~25k miles on it. These pictures are before any cleaning, pretty much right after it was pulled out. Sorry about quality, it was dark, but you can see how clean it is

Still undecided what I want to do with that engine yet.. While I had the camera out I thought Id take a few pics of all the various FC crap I have laying around...any other packrats have tons of stuff too?

And then my aluminum hood that I need to get around to paint..

Just thought Id give you something to look at....

Also, a quick question....when pulling the engine , this got broke off (oil pressure sender..) It just snapped off , and now there is a little piece of it stuck in the housing. Any suggestions as to going about getting this out so I can replace it? Thanks....

Get a large easy out and cut off its tip . . this might work on the oil sender sleeve. If that doesn't work, after disassembling the engine, get a drill / tap set for the sender's thread size and just drill / tap the sucker out. Since you will be using a tap of original size, it won't mess up the iron if you do it carefully.

Nice collection.
Like 88 said, try those easy outs. They didn'y work for me though. I just ended up drilling it out and re-tapping the hole. I had a front sationary gear bolt break during my engine assembly. It went a lot better than I thought it would. Just make sure you gat the right tap and you go slow.

Thanks, but I would like to get it out and put a new unit it, mainly because I may be selling the engine, and dont want anything wrong with it. Has anyone else broken one of these off, or am I the only dumbass here...
I think the problem is definatly related to the STALL CONVERTER attached to the rear of the engine.
You need to break that off and use it for target practice.
Then you shoud ... uh... fix that oil pressure unit.
