new engine ideas, please help!

k well my 87 TII engine finally blew after 84k miles on it.
this is the plan and i need some feedback and criticism/advice and all that....

the new motor is gonna be a series 5 (gonna run premix so do i need the wiring harness??? i know i need the ecu but the harness was always a question...)

its gonna have a *mild* bridgeport
1200cc secondaries
and to control ign. timing and the injectors, i think im gonna go with the greddy e-manage.

im also gettting the turbo wastegate heavily ported as well.

now i dont want this to be a flame war, but again, constructive criticism and advice would be greatly appreciated!!!

First, what did (or didn't) you do to the motor to blow at only 84K? That needs to be reassessed before you start building a new motor.

2nd, what are you doing with the car that you want a new ECU set up, injectors, and porting the engine?

umm i would say haltech e6k, fuel pump, boost controller, fuel rail, there is other stuff too i hope you have a FAT checkbook who is gonna bridge your engine ? you don't need to bridge it a LARGE street port would be a better idea especially if its a daily driver and you don't want to be deaf heh

you already saw my post for a street car a GIANT street port is better. bridgeport is kind of hard to daily drive with zero low end torque....

very tru...and i dont have to worry about a bridge cracking either....descisions, decisions...but i think i might ditch the bridge and do the biggest street port imaginable. anyone else besides me and vosko?

Are you going to take apart your old motor? How bad did it overheat? Maybe it can be rebuilt??
