Exclamation new engine decision

i am wanting a new engine for my N/A FC 86' i am trying to decide just ordering a 3mm apex new engine or a n/a 13b with some miles but perfect compression and it runs flawlessly, or just say the hell with it and get the 13BT if any one has any engines to sell please let me know.

i would go with a n/a 13b if u are looking for reliability. but if its a for fun kinda car go turbo. either way they are both fairly reliable but the n/a more so. and you can always change your mind and turbo it if u have time and money.....

It really depends on what you want to do and how experiences you are with these cars. A new engine is going to run weird (read: rough) until the apex seals have broken in and with 3mm that's going to take longer.

The used low mile NA would be good if you're not looking for more power and want reliability and need to run soon.

If it was me, and i had another car to drive i'd get the 13BT because i want more power. But my recent purchase was a used running engine because i needed it.

try ebay or partstrader.com and look for a 13bt. i got my turbo setup for $600. it included a 89,xxx mi t2 88 motor 88 subframes back and front, and the tranny with driveshaft and ecu. all i had to do was get a couple little things and i was golden
