Talking New Belts = Higher Idle?

Hey everyone,

Just replaced all the belts on my 7 and now my idle is higher than it used to be. It used to be 800 - 1000 now I idle around 1300 - 1500. My question, what is the "stock idle"? Since my car has no real mods to speak of. Where should I be idling? Did I overtighten a belt or two or all? It seems to run fine... just has a higher idle. New belts really helped though, I can feel that my revs are more solid and no more "screeeech" noise at 6000 rpms. lol.

In the process of changing the belts, you must have disturbed something else.

Maybe throttle cable slack, vac leak.

Normal idle is ~800RPM
