Need window trim replacement.

Hey guys, here is another question for anyone that could help me out. My window trim is old and flaky on both driver's and passanger's window. Any one know of the procedure to replace these, and if possible could anyone give me the part #? Thanks

Victoria Bitish or a place like Mazdatrix or your local dealer has them. You really ought to do what molotovman suggested though. They look BRAND new this way.

dude, it's a simple fix.. you don't even have to paint them.. there is a spray on "rubber" like stuff in a can... it's called plasti-dip. i think the only place you can get them is napa.

it's only like $7... the oem trim is much more expensive and not worth it in my opinion.

i did this, and it looks flawless after months. check the link:
the good stuff

I just pulled mine off (easy to do) and used a wire wheel to get the rust off and repainted them... looks brand new.

want new ones from the factory? Call your local Mazda dealer and get them. You'll pay roughly 100$ for a new set

How do you remove them from the door, though? Do you need to remove the side mirror for that? how?
thanks

Simple... tag a thick rag and put it down so you dont scratch your paint and start from the rear and pry it up with a flathead sckrewdriver

I've got a series 4 which comes with metal ones which rusted like yours did. Make sure you get the platic ones when you replace them. I paid $100AUD each and they were fairly straight forward to fit.

yes, you're gonna have to remove the mirrors, but that's pretty easy. first, there is a plastic piece that covers 3 mirror screws from the interior. take a flathead and pry it till it comes loose.. SLOWLY. or else you'll crack it. unscrew the 3 screws and remove the mirror... next, do what 86GXL said. except put the screwdriver where the white clips are. it'll be harder to crack it that way.

i think that covers it.

You dont have to remove the mirrors... the trim only goes about a half inch under the mirror... just pry most of it up then slide it out.... WAY easier than pulling your mirrors off....

i bought mine new from mazda last year, $30 per door, no longer metal. they come on and off with clips, just remove your side view mirrors and unclip them...10 minutes for both sides
