Exclamation Need Turbo II wiring harness asap

I met a guy in Reynolds Georgia that said there was someone in Atlanta that had those parts. I need a 87-88 turbo II wiring harness (with boost sensor) and a knock control. If anyone has any places that would have those or has the parts themselves to get rid of I would be much appreciative. Thanks in advance.

Thanks,
Dustin

86-87 (87 model year) T2 harness is different than the 88 model year... you need to find the correct one for the year you have.

YOUR LUCK IS GOING TO BE LOW ON THIS PART. MAZDA DOES NOT EVEN SELL BRAND NEW 88 HARNESS. THEY STILL HAVE THEM FOR EARLY 87. MY FRIEND IS GOING THREW SAME PROBLEM FINDING ONE. GOOD LUCK

The 87 is not the same as the 88. The 87 uses older resistance resisters and has the resister pack up front. There are other minor differences as well things like the PRCV and AVS run in series on the 87, but parrallel on the 88 and later cars.

The 88 does not have the resister pack and carries an entirely different P/N.

How diffrent from each other are the 87 n/a and 87 tII? Can the wires on the plug be re-arranged to fit the ECU connections?

Not without adding a couple of wires and moving a couple of pins, and lengthing a couple of underhood wires.

you have no harness or bad harness?, a Mazda shop here in WA will rebuild the harness for $200-400 sounds cheaper than getting a new one

Hahaha. I have a good Harness off my 87 Turbo II. Asking $150 shipped. There's your price ladies.

I think this thread belongs in the FS: / WTB: section.

ok I now have a early 87 harness and a early 87 engine but now I have a 88 turbo II ecu. I have high impedence injectors laying around. Is there any way to use the early 87 harness and the high impedence injector with the 88 ecu?

Use some resistors to make it work.

You don't need resistors, you need to hook the connectors in the resistor pack plug together to get the correct resistance.

The top one is the 12V one, the other four go to the injectors.

I am assuming that I can just hook up the 12v to all of the other injector wires and it should run. Is this true?

I think I found myself a business... what would you folks pay for a NEW (hand built) harness for the 88 TII? You have to supply the old harness for the plugs (particularly the ECU plugs)

I know someone that does harnesses, I can probably get him to do them. (He does classic restoration parts- these would be more complex of course!)

Depending on the quality of the wire... I think you could easy get $300 for a new plug'n play engine wire harness.

Maybe $400 if you used teflon covered wire.

I might be able to find you the raw plugs and connectors..., but generally would need an order of at least 100 units (preferably 500).

That would be helpful Icemark. Depends on price/connector if it's feasible or not for me to look into that. Making harnesses is SERIOUSLY labor-intensive.

I'll run some connector prices in the morning at work and try and remember to post the results when I log in again.

Off the top of my head, probably .05 a pin and around .25 a connector.. but I am guestimating based on the ones I ordered when I converted my 'verts NA engine harness to a T2 harness last year.
