need some help(i searched)

a friend of mine has an 86 rx7 that needs to have the slave cylinder replaced he said he would sell me the car for a grand since he is going over-seas. my question is how involved is a job like this? my mr2 drowned when katrina hit mississippi and im in bad need of a car so this is the perfect opportunity for me, i dont know much about the rx7 ill admit(ill learn, give me a couple weeks) but if you guys can help me out w/this real quick it would be much appreciated

cant be that hard, go to mazda get the part, go to the fsm (factory service manual) and or SEARCH then do it, if engine is good and body is ok go for it head first, but you need to get ready to learn about cars, everyone catches on quick so it wont be that hard,
hope this helps

i searched the f.a.q. sticky and the rest of the forum couldnt come up with much even mentioning the cylinder(might've been my keywords ill try some other stuff see what i come up with). as far as the learning aspect goes, ive got that covered ive repaired cars for years now and had been track racing the mr2 for about 3 years, ive just never messed with an rx7 the opportunity never even came up to ride in one really. this is just a fresh start for me, which i dont mind ill have the basics down in a week or so. i appreciate the help and ill try and throw some pics up when i get a chance

It's a pretty easy job, no different to replacing the slave cylinder in any other RWD car. If you need more info go to www.iluvmyrx7.com/2nd_gen_manuals.htm and download the Factory Service Manual (FSM) in PDF format for free (you only need the Clutch chapter for this job), or get hold of a Haynes manual.
