Question Need part# for coolant fill top...

as you can see I had to make a temp block off plate(coke can) beacause of a crack in the plastic top piece the cap screws onto. Does anyone know the part# or a place other mazda I can get one, preferably new so I guess mazda so I need a part#.

It looks like you got a non-bypass type?
I don't see an overflow hose on it...

If so, you can get the FD one for a little bit more money.
It will never fail like the crappy plastic FC crap!
You'll need to get it from the Mazda dealer though.

I've replaced that on mine a year or so ago. I used the overflow version. J/B weld the hole shut.

Goto the dealer and give them your VIN, they will get you the right one. If you want the plastic piece they have that too. When I went the lady printed out a diagram of the water cooling system and it had a part number beside every part that made up that system! It was awesome, I just pointed to the pieces I needed and got them the next day.

got it!

Just picked it about 2 hours ago from mazda. It was $55.78 I had him check the price for the one for my year and it was more... This is the one for 93+. ,the part # is N3C1-15-175 . I like it, much more durable than the crappy plastic one.

Mine was metal and it cost about 27$cndn from mazda. I spose its of a different type becuase my return line is below the cap.

*EDIT*
nm, I get what your saying now. the plastic pedastel is ****, you replaced it with the metal FD one.

My plastic one is in fine shape, doesn't leak or anything. I think the metal one is unnecessary.
