Need more power!

Well... i have a 1988 rx7 with mods (check sig) and i want more power. I almost regret getting this engine, i shouldve just sold it and gotten a turbo II, because now i just want a turbo. i have a few mods to my ride, and i need to tune my car. we just finished installation of a megasquirt standalone to my buddy's TII, and i want to do the same to mine. see, the thing is, i am going overseas in august and i will be coming back with close to 16 grand and all of it will be going into an rx7. Im not sure if i want to go fb and go 12a turbo and get it built, or stick with the fc... i love fc's but i kind of want something else for a weekend fun car. but anyways back to the subject. I just need more power and i need to tune my car. I was thinking about running nitrous, but i would like to have the power all of the time. What can i do?

16 g's? buy an FD bro, seriously heh...

If you want to stick with the FC then I'd say do a TII swap or sell ur car and just buy a TII and then mod it out. Or if fc3s.org is done with their n/a turbo kit by then you can do that too if you really want turbo, or the atkins supercharger, etc.

Heh, I would take $10k and put a down payment on a house, and spend the other $6k on mods for the FC, be it a turbo swap or NA power tricks, and especially suspension mods.

Imagine . . you could have a garage to work on your fc in . .

mmm one of my dreams is to have a garage big enough for 3-4 cars but only used for my fc... a full lift, every tool i could ever need, air tools and drop down curtain/wall type things with ventilation for painting.. then it'd have to have heat and a/c, built in speakers for stereo and a tv dreams ahhh

but yah thats a good idea too, use 10k on some more important things then put 6 into the fc.. i dont think i'd drain 16k ALL at once in an fc, almost doesnt seem worth it... over time i can understand, but if you have 16k, go FD unless you have more important things to spend it on

I agree with Madrx7racer, there are WAY more important things in life to be worrying about. and if there is a chance you will be going overseas then definatly dont spend it all in an fc, just my two cents
