need some info on s5 MOP's

I got a friend that could make us s5 guys something that would fool the ecu once you removed your MOP. This wouldnt be some resistor that would just give the ecu a steady signal, it will be a circuit that will change the signal based on rpm to mimic the MOP and pump position sensor.

would there be any intrest in me getting these made?

i wouldnt mind having one since im pretty sure my MOP went out on me 2 days ago. now the question is, do they work? Long term reliability? -alex

well, i couldnt tell you that they work or not yet since we havent made one yet. i need to do some datalogging on my car to see what the MOP puts out at different rpms and such. i am just gauging intrest right now. i dont see why it wouldnt work, the circuit should just mimic the MOP.

just to clear things up, i never saw the post made by icemark. i already sent him a pm asking him about this. im not trying to profit off of this, i am just gauging intrest so i know if it would be worth the time spent to write a howto or a circuit diagram once icemark or i has figured it exactly out.

Yeah, I am just giving him a hard time, as I posted the theoretical electrical way how to do it a couple days ago.

If he beats me to it, actually getting a unit out there it benefits all S5 FC owners that want to go without the MOP. That would be of course only a positive thing!
