Unhappy Need help in a Tail lights Fix??

Has anyone heard of, or even tried to take apart their tail lights in order to try and fix them. I have the series five set with a broken turn signal (has a hole in the plastic cover). I might be able to get the turn signal cover form a friend to help in the fix. Just trying to salvage what I have.

yeah I have removed the outer panel before on a S4 tail light.

Its just a matter of heating up the hot glue enough to pull it apart.

I have the same problem in away im trying to get the black piece off to put on my vert, because my tail light is different ,due to the sqaure inside the lenes being on the other side,I took one apart and saw that it wasnt just the glue holding it together it WAS in fact the plastic was mended together, like glueing a model car together with plastic glue effect, you can see this when you look on the curve part.I have a heat gun 600 degrees and i will try to heat it up on my junk one to see what it will, but im tring to get the black face off to fab. it in place

Yes, the S4 'vert tail lights have the lenses welded onto the black frame.

It is almost impossible to take the lens off of the black frame on the 'vert, but perfectly easy to take off the frame and lens together from the light/reflector body.

Yeah, I tried to pull them apart when I went to paint the frames...

I didn't break anything, but wasted 15 minutes melting the hot glue only to find you can't pull the lenses out of the frams on the 'verts, then having to put it all back together and tape it for painting anyway.
