Exclamation need help with swap plzzzz.

i have owned my 88 gtu for a couple of years. Now i am swaping out blown stocker for a 91 engine&tranny...but i have run into serious problems with the harness. The motor and tranny came out with the harness on the passenger side.
Well the problem is the connectors are totally different. Now i Know i can change the ecu for 2 of them, but i still have 2 more that are totally different. i cant cut and splice because the one out of my 88 gtu has about 5 or so more wires than that out of the 91. any help would be greatly appreciated....thanx in advance

you have some work to do skippy! Your gonna want to swap to premix so you don't have to change the front cover. You are going to have to swap the wiring & injectors from your 88 motor to the 91 motor. You are also going to need a RPM activated switch and tire pump to make the e-pump conversion to make VDI and Ports work. You also have to swap the throttle body.

You take all the original parts that came in the car and put them on the new engine. You keep the block and flywheel together, everything else gets swapped. Front cover, oil metering pump, wiring harness, waterpump/housing/alternator, manifolds, injectors, fuelrails, vacuum rail, all of it. You make the car "see* all the original operating equipment, it won't care that the block is slightly different.

No different than swapping in a fuel injected 350 into a carbureted 350 car. You swap all the old accessories onto the new engine to match the body that they are being fitted into, and sell the rest from the newer engine.

That\s as simple as it can be. Don't try to rig it any other way. You're asking for headaches if you do.
