need help spending money

Okay, I just bought a 1988 RX-7, Im about to do a 13BT swap into it. I'm going to have around 1200-1400 to spend. What can I do that will give me the most Horse power? Oh and I allready have a Apexi N1 exhaust for it. Thanks. Oh, and do they make A-pillar clusters for the second gen rx-7? Who? auto meter?

so i see you need help spending money send some to me ill give you my paypal lol... you could always go FMIC, Injectors, Koyo or Fludyine radiator (always good to have a stronger/bigger rad), but remeber this you with turbo you cant do one with out the other... Meaning if you go bigger turbo (possible manifold, turbo, ext wastegate), if u go bigger you need bigger injectors to get the fuel, more fuel you need more air (so you wont get turbo lag or boost spike), all that you need a fuel controller/piggyback/standalone... so dont go spending your money in one place better to order, save, order, more untill you have enough and put it on and get it tuned

I am not sure if they have the cluster for that but if you need some gauges, try to get some from a company call Evil Auto Style, their price are very good and good looking

So I need a TII rear end or driveshaft? Do I need both? Or one or the other?

How high is the spring in the stock wastegate? (PSI) How High can i raise boost before I need to up grade? I planned on getting a Boost controller, and a turbo timer, along with a Boost, Air/Fuel, and Oil pressure gauge's. And possibly a new Radiator.

Am I good to go? And How much are the 13BT's putting out HP and TQ wise? Are they low 15 sec. cars?

It would be a good idea to switch the the T2 rear-end for relaibility sake. The N/A rear is not as strong, and could possibly fail with a big power setup.

i would say first things first!!! take 200-300 and get brakes pads and rotors then get them bled wires plugs filter oil rad. flush( I noticed on my t2 the end tanks crack) soi went ahead and bought a koyo( thanks mills). i started wrong by investing$ in rims and all that jazz. when now i need 02 sensor brakes and full tune up ( remember these cars are 2 decades old!!!) all that so now my car runs crappy so i dont drive it and it looks pimp in my driveway( tax refund come on baby!!) but yea man start with a proper foundation b4 investing in stand alone and upgraded turbos. -erik

For 1200-1400..

Upgrade your fuel system, upgrade your cooling system, get a turbo timer and boost controller, an FCD (if you're running higher than 8.6psi), and maybe an air/fuel ratio converter (especially if you're running higher boost).

fuel-wise:
I'd get 720cc secondaries.. maybe have the stock 550s cleaned.. if you're staying with the stock turbo, that should be enough, you might also look into a walbro fuel pump or something a bit beefier than the stock fuel pump.

new radiator would be a good idea, stock fan should be okay, but you might look into a nice e-fan, they're not too outrageous.

and an FCD will be absolutely necessary if you're upping the boost... you don't want to risk cutting fuel delivery to the rear rotor...

A t2 rear-end will be necessary eventually.. but, if you're getting a new engine, you have the break-in period to build up some funds and plan what you're going to do.

with the tmic, it would be a bad idea to push more than 9-10psi (some people say it's bad to push even more than stock), you'd might as well save up and buy the greddy(trust) FMIC kit for the FC3S, it's a direct bolt-on, and it'll suffice for the rest of your car's life most likely.

S4 T2 engines put out ~180 whp and 180lb/ft of torque, S5s put out ~200whp

ps: assuming you're dropping a brand new engine in, you're not going to be running any boost for a while anyway, right?

yup, it was a GTU, liked this hood better. Ok...soooo..ok how bout this, What can I do, to get 220hp. And will i be able to buy a boost controller and up the boost, or do I have to change things? If i have to change ****, what do I have to change? I know eventually I will need to up grade the fuel system, and get a new radiator. (due to the 7's run hotter then ****)
