Need help, secondary injector replacement

I have searched for this several times, everything coming up empty. If anyone knows of a thread or write-up, I'd certainly appriciate it.

I recently upgraded to and installed an rtek 1.7 to my ecu. I've got the computer installed and am currently trying to install the secondary injectors. I've got the TMIC off and am looking at the intake manifold, throttle body, and many other parts that make up the engine. I'm not sure where to go from here. Do I have to removed everything like the ABS (haynes says to do this), ACV, Surge, and a lot of other things.

Is there an easier way to quickly get to the secondaries or does all this have to be done?

ok this is what you wanna do take the top mount off once this is done you are gonna want to take the top of the intake mani off disconnect what you need to just take to top of it off enough to get to the sec injectors i dont know if you installed a fuel cut off switch on your fuel pump and if not its a good idea to put one on but if not locate the plug by your fuel pump on driver side rear strut tower behind the carpet cover then start your car and unplug this will get all the fuel out of the lines do this first if not then just be cautious cause you will have some gas coming out when you take off the injectors then just put everything back together

maybe you should just take it to a mechanic and have them install the injectors

but it really isnt that difficult.. there are 5 bolts holding the upper intake manifold on, one in the middle, 4 on the sides. the secondary injector rail is right under the upper intake manifold, cant miss it. leaving the fuel lines connected, just unbolt the fuel rail (2 bolts), and lift it off the injectors. replace them with your 720s and your good to go

while you are in there, you might as well do a rats nest removal.. do some searching to find out how. it basically simplifies all the mess of vacuum lines you see into just four: boost sensor, FPR, sec inj bleed, and the omp line

I already found 4. The ones that I found were around the edge by the BAC. I am having a hard time finding the one in the "middle". I'm going to go look some more.

Wow I'm blind. I found the bolt in the middle.

Next question. I can only lift it about 2 inches in the air. What do I need to disconnect in order to get enough space to get to the fuel rail?

Do you still have the throttle body attached? Could also be the small coolant hose elbow, located on the back side of the TB, at the bottom.
