Need help. S5/S4 front cover, s5/s4 OMP, s5/s4 water pump. Swap questions.

I bought an engine off of a member and he told me that he used a used s5 rotating assembly.
I assumed this meant the front cover would be in fact a s5 front cover.
I went to put my water pump/ omp on and neither one of them fit.
Both are s5.
I went and looked at my s4's omp and it looks as if it would fit.
The water pump also looks like it might fit.
I'm new to swapping parts and such, but I'm trying to figure out what to do now.
My s4 is not running and I'm selling it to someone that is 2j swapping.
So I can use the parts off that engine if I need to.
But.... since it has a s4 front cover does that mean it is a s4 rotating assembly as well?
And would you suggest that I do with my situation with the omp and water pump?
Can you use a s5 front cover with a s4 rotating assembly?
If so should I just toss my s5 front cover on it and be done?
Sorry, I'm a noob but I'm really frustrated and confused right now.

get a S4 water pump housing then you can use s4 water pump, pulley and s4 thermostat and housing. As for the OMP, might have to go with a block off plate and premix. Look up premixing. Or put that S4 front cover on and all the other s4 parts you have.

Yeah, that's actually what I was looking at doing. I just wasn't for sure if that would work with the rest of the car being s5. The water pump housing on the s4 is actually brand new. Thanks for the input tek. Now to figure out if I can get a hold of the materials for a block-off plate. By the way, love your car and hate to hear that it is down. I saw your video on youtube, it inspired my go at this swap hard.

Thanks for that as well; I'm sorry.
I just assumed it all went together because of the front pulley.
Like I said I'm pretty new.
I've messed with a lot of stuff on the car but I haven't been this deep into it.
Also, would it be okay to make the block off plate out of aluminum instead of steel, like it says in the write-up?

you will also need the proper sized bolts to plug the engine itself up

my car is s5 and i went with a S4 waterpump housing, waterpump, thermostat.. and went with a OMP block off plate to fit since the s4 waterpump housing interferes with the s5 omp. No problems. Only did it because I couldnt find a S5 waterpump housing soon enough.
