i am trying to replace my drivers side door handle aand i just cant seem to get it out i got one bolt out and cant see the other but i do know where it is. how do i get the linkage off so i can get it out of my way??? need to do this like now lol

 

The other bolt is inside of the oval hole in the door. You may need to roll the window up or down to access the bolt because the glass can get in the way. Remove with a deep socket, 10mm I think.

OK, if it does't work quite right, just adjust the vertical rod up and down in the clamshell type nylon clamp.

 

it works great

 

step one. put tape around the door handle on the outside.
2. put your window all the way down.
3. take off your door pannle
4 unbolt the 2 bolts and remove the lock arm
5. wiggle the door handle threw to the front with any force nessasary. bringing the latch arm to the exterior of the car.

doing so will now make you able to remove the arm that you can not remove from inside the door. and it will make it 10x easier on you.

you need to get the latch arm threw to the front of the door.

 

On S5s one nut is accessible with the window UP and the other with the window DOWN.
