I did a engine swap with a 87 t2 and a 88 gtu, everything is all hooked up. But i have not been able to get the car running because of electrical problems as soon as i hook up the negative battery terminal it blows and grounds off there connections and pretty much smokes the wires. i been messing with this stuff for 3 weeks and i suck at fixing this stuff. if anybody wants a free trip to el paso to assist me with this would be helpful but i think i might just have to take it to mazda and let them figure out the problem....how much do you think mazda dealer will charge me to fix electrical woes.

 

Arm and leg. Sorry 'bout that. Both cars turbo??? Any wire in particular that is singed??? Color. Location??
