Need Help Dropping Rear Subframe!!
Hey guys, so i've been trying to swap my diff in my s5 gxl, and i've heard it's easier to just drop the rear subframe. i've been searching but can't find any threads. i know i've seen some out there on how to do it, just can't seem to locate them anymore.
can somebody please help me out?? i really want to drive my 7 again =(
Thanks guys!

well ya, but i needed to like know what bolts. aanndd i'm stuck again! the two studs that are on the diff that you need to lower the subframe to get to, how do i get those out??? i un bolted them but the studs are still there, that's the only thing holding it up..

The two studs you're talking about on the diff are what mounts the diff mount to the subframe. There is a small plate under the nuts you took off and once removed the diff can slide upwards out of the two slots.

Are you installing solid diff and subframe mounts? If not you will break the diff mounting tab off the subframe at some point.

Yeah, I'd def get some delrin mounts + a mazda competition front diff mount. Pulling the subframe multiple times sucks ***. Ask me how I know this.
I found that when pulling the whole subframe out, you need to put it back up evenly. You can't bold the rear of the diff in then put the subframe in. It won't line up no matter what you do. Get a few jacks + a buddy if you can. That will make life super easy.
